On March 28, HART broke ground on the three western-most stations for the Honolulu rail project.

The West Oahu Stations group includes the East Kapolei station near the Kroc Center, the Hoopili station and the station at the UH-West Oahu where a groundbreaking event was held.

Nan, Inc. is the local contracting company that will build the three stations.  Nan had the winning bid of $56 million.

Construction work should take about 3 years and is scheduled for completion in 2018.
